After School Programs
Hoover Middle School is proud to announce the start of the OST after-school programs.(out of School Time) These programs are funded by the ABC Community School Partnership. Partners include Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, APS, United Way of Central NM, and the Albuquerque Business Education Compact. The objective of this partnership is to provide elementary and middle school-age children opportunities to thrive in before and/or after school time environments that encourage improved student learning, stronger families, and healthier communities. The goal of our programs is to provide after-school activities to students Monday through Thursdays. OST program activities provide students learning and developmental opportunities which positively impact
- academic performance
- attendance
- behavior
Students and parents are asked to make a commitment to the program or activity of their choice. Attendance is a vital part to each program’s success, and students are asked to make a semester commitment. Parents must arrange for transportation home; buses are not available. Activities end at 4:15 pm each day (unless noted by the activity leader), and students MUST be picked up then.
Program Funding
